"My creativity is challenged by working in different vernaculars to suit my client's taste," explains Ann. "Even if it takes research, I strive to stay true to good design, no matter what style I'm working in." Ann is a designer who truly has the ability to do a wonderful job creating a diversity of interiors, be they French Country, formal French, contemporary, eclectic, western or rustic. Her twelve years in Steamboat Springs imbued Ann with a special flair for Western design. In much of her mountain work Ann is acclaimed for incorporating a beautiful, timeless and elegant Western feel into her design. In the city, Ann designs even her most formal homes to be at once elegant, yet also comfortable, functional and inviting.

Ann likes to add something whimsical, with a sense of humor, to her rooms, because she knows the best design doesn't take itself 100% seriously. "I like a touch of whimsy, and I love to use unexpected colors," she says. "It's fun when my clients are brave enough to try it. I've never had anybody try something different who didn't tell me it far exceeded their expectations."

For Ann, successful design is about a conversation and collaboration between the sensibility and taste of the client, combined with Ann's creativity, knowledge and expertise.
